Beneath La Vall d'Uixó runs the largest navigable underground river in Europe - the Coves de Sant Josep, a flooded limestone gallery where a boatman guides you through chambers hung with stalactites, past walls that people painted thousands of years ago. Above ground, this town in the province of Castellón looks unremarkable: orange groves, footwear workshops, two old church towers. Its most extraordinary feature is the water it sits on top of.]]></description>
